Tags, juice, toys, and other things Kara likes

New Video!
Kara can almost crawl! Notice my cell-phone on the left side of the screen, if that was a toy that she was allowed to play with you wouldn't be watching a "crawling" video right now. She only "crawls" for things shes not allowed to have: cell-phones, tv remote, camera, etc..
Here's some of Kara's favorite things to do:

Playing with all the little tags is Kara's absolute favorite thing!

(She even found the tag on the lap-desk!)

Of course, playing with tags doesn't hold a candle to smiling for pictures!

Reading!
The book that she's holding is a "color" book that Ya-Ya bought her.
She loves to hold it, and turn the pages!

Playin' with toys is always so much fun.

(In this picture she looks like Rachel did as a baby.)
Kara likes her Wrangler Jeans, and John Deere shirt.

Now that she's figured out how to get the juice out of the sippy cup, she's become a juice-aholic!

Oops, can't get any out laying like that!
That's more like it!

Kara enjoys sitting in her new high-chair!

The lights and sounds on this toy are exciting to Kara.

Stacking and unstacking the rings... er... well, watching while mommy and daddy stack and unstack the rings. Kara mostly just knocks it over and chews on them.

Hangin' out in the laundry basket.

(Just a few close ups!)

Sometimes while you're playing you have to stop and check your hair....

(I wanted to upload more, but apparently waking up while mommy is putting pictures on the blog is one of Kara's favorite things too! Oh well, maybe later!)

On Thursdays I go to a Ladies Bible Study with our church. While I'm gone Preston watches Kara. I was nervous for Preston because she's teething and really fussy. Evidently I shouldn't have been worried... here's what she did while I was gone!

And a picture for my mama and daddy. We don't get to see each other nearly enough! :(

Kara's Special Day

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. These commandments that I give to you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."
Deuteronomy 6:5-7
Our church did a baby dedication last Sunday, February 15.

(Notice how Kara fell asleep? When the dedication was over everyone started clapping at it scared her awake, causing her to 'jump.' It was pretty funny!)

"Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from Him. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them."
Psalm 127:3-5
~

A baby dedication is an opportunity for parents to publicly declare their intention to raise their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
A baby dedication is not a biblical mandate or a guarantee of salvation.

Happy Birthday Sarah!

"Happy Birthday Aunt Sarah!"

"I love you!"
"The green bow in my hair reminded my mommy of you."
"Can I be an Alaskan Frog too?"
"It's kinda hard to concentrate when you're laying on such a neat blanket!"

"Taking birthday pictures is ok, but rolling over is sooo much more fun!"
"We'll all miss you while you're deployed. Be safe and we love you!"

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH!!!!
