Food

This is the baby-doll that Kara got for her birthday. At that time we kept the bed, bottle, and socks and just gave her the doll. Recently we got out these things and since then she has fallen in love with "giving drinks" to her toys. Her favorite bunny (the one by her feet in the first picture) has gotten its fair share of apple juice lately!

Popsicles help with the teething pain.

Kara had her first real spaghetti. Usually we just scoop out her hamburger meat and then add the sauce. Last night she got to taste the sauce for the first time.
Be sure to note that she is naked (except her diaper) and that we took the cover off the high-chair.
Also, I have to point something out to you in the 3rd and 4th pictures. A general rule of thumb with children is that once their hands get dirty, THEY WILL TOUCH THEIR HAIR!!

It's pretty much inevitable.

We recently stumbled across an exciting discovery... sliced bread that doesn't have milk in it. This led us to a second exciting discovery...
JELLY!

The strawberry cookies that she is eating in these next pictures don't have milk in them. They are so good that it is hard to resist eating them ourselves and saving them for her.

Couldn't wait until Thanksgiving

I made a cherry pie.
It has no milk, butter, or other dairy products in it.
Meaning, Kara got her first taste of pie last night.

Baby #2 is a.....

GIRL!!
I purposely scheduled our ultrasound on Preston's birthday because I just *knew* that this baby would be a boy. Nope, wrong again! Looks like Preston will have to pay for another wedding after all. When we went to Kara's ultrasound she gave us many, many, many clear views that she was a girl. This baby made it a little more difficult. Almost the entire ultrasound she kept herself folded in half with her feet up above her head, and her little bottom nestled into the placenta. But alas, we did get several chances to see that she is indeed a she. Also, the baby is measuring 5 to 6 days larger than originally thought, so they moved our due date from the 15th of April to the 10th. (Who wants a tax-day birthday anyways right?) Otherwise, everything (heart, organs, bones, etc..) looks great, and we are all thrilled about our new little GIRL!!!

Our scanner doesn't work so I had to take pictures of the pictures. That's why they aren't the greatest quality.
Face

Same picture just not zoomed in.

Already showing us who should have been the first born!
(Looks like the same nose as Kara!)

Covering her mouth after a yawn.

Snuggling in..

Church Dresses

I usually try to take a picture of Kara on Sundays while she is wearing her church dress. Here are just a few from the past four months.

(These first two were taken on the Sunday that Preston was sick and stayed home from church.)

(She's so modest!)
