Kara

Kara got a paint set for Christmas and she sure enjoys it! Nearly every day she wants to "color."

She also got some new things for her kitchen at Christmas.

She made muffins then served them on plates for her and daddy.

She loves to help sweep and gets upset when we have to put the broom away.

While we were reading books together I covered us up with this blanket. A little while later I came in and she was like this saying, "Bubby cold."

She put her toys like this and said, "Kitty give Bubby ride." Kids do such cute things!

This is where she sat to read to me while I finished the laundry.

Making cookie monster eat poptarts.

I finished feeding Lexi her oatmeal, sat the bowl on the table and turned around to the sink to get a wash-cloth. Kara decided Lexi wasn't done and tried to feed her a few more bites. She was saying, "Open mouth Lexi. It good? Mmm!"

Kara's current Bible verse is: "e-fins sic one, obey pare-nets" (Ephesians 6:1 Children obey your parents.)

What a Joy she is to us!

Lexi

"What? Why is everyone looking at me? Seriously, come on now, what's so funny?"

"You would tell me if there was food on my face, right? You wouldn't just sit around and laugh at me, right? Come on, someone tell me what's so funny!"

"I love blueberry muffins for breakfast!"

"Unless, of course, mom makes chocolate muffins! Yummy!"

"Daddy let me try some cheetos. They trump mom's chocolate muffins any day!"

"Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Cheetos are great!"

"Turns out french fries are awesome, too! Who knew?"

"After all that food, I'd better get in a little exercise."

"And one, and two, and three...."

"Whew, feelin' the burn!"

"Time to hit the tub after that work-out."

"Somebody better get in here fast! I've pulled out three wipes already and there's only about 187 more in the package!"

"Ah, finally some rest after a busy day."

Snoooooow!

They're all ready to go play! Lexi has on two coats and three hats. She's... um... thrilled!

Kara really did enjoy it despite what her face says in some of these pictures.

The snow was up to her knees so I tried to walk ahead of her to make paths for her to walk in.

But it was still hard for her to walk.

Lexi's not too sure about this, although she did act like she was having fun as long as she was being held.

This was the only time that Kara didn't enjoy being in the snow. She kept hollering, "Mama, Kara fall down in snow!" And from then on she insisted on holding my hand when walking around.

Kara kept wanting Lexi to get down and play. Lexi was content to be held.

Kara was saying, "Get off swing, snow! Get off!"

Notice Mary & Joseph's snow hats, and how you can't even see Jesus? Kara noticed too and has reminded us several times.

See Kara in the background... "Where's baby Jesus? Where is he?"

Lexi's favorite bear.

Muffins!

Wore out.

She was making the kitties hop from basket to basket. It looks like Charlie is waiting for his turn.

A hair bow! She liked it!
