December Pictures (Part 2)

Daddy with his girls.
Look at Kara's hands on her knees.  Hehe.

 Mommy and her girls.

 Our Joy!

Waiting and waiting and waiting for lunch.
Lexi even has her bib on already.

 Playing "Go Fish."
Or, as we play it at our house:
"Mine, Yours, Mine, Yours, Mine, Yours...."

Funny thing happens at Christmas-time.  The newspaper gets filled with flyers full of TOYS!
"Look mama!  Kitty!  You love kitties, mama?  I looooove kitties.  Lexi, you love kitties?  Look at this little kitty! Want to keep it?  Kitties are soooo fun!!"

Lexi has discovered that she fits perfectly behind the couch. I panicked one day when I couldn't find her.  I called her name and then heard a little giggle and a "boo" from behind the couch.  Now she thinks that is a great hiding spot.

Helping sister put on chap-stick.

Headband!

Since sister has one, I need one too.

I've babysat Allie a few times.  The girls LOVE her.

Everyone wants to sit next to "Miss Allie."

Playing pat-a-cake with Allie.
Lexi says, "pat, pat, rollll, baby and me!!"

This one got out of order.
It was suppose to be with the headband pictures but I can't figure out how to move it now.
Doesn't she look so grown up?

Christmas pictures coming soon.

December Pictures (part 1)

Lexi loves to help with the dishes.
If she realizes that's what I'm doing, she'll run and drag her chair in to help.

Such a good helper.

This is one of the many ways God has blessed us.  One day our neighbors just out-of-the-blue knocked on our door and gave us all these groceries.   God is so good!

I've heard this is how all the cool kids read books these days.

Flash forward 15 years and she'll be walking down the stairs in her prom dress.
Oh my!!

Flash forward 2 years and she'll have outgrown the dress Kara is wearing.
Oh my!!

Making bunny houses out of dominos.

Reading to BabyBear.

She has such a charming personality!

We made "Happy Birthday Jesus" pictures.
(Notice that Kara's looks similar to mine?)

Kara drew the Nativity all by herself.
I labeled each person so you can tell who is who.

Anyone with that sweet of a look on her face must be up to something....
Oh, wait... now I see it....
The shoes and socks have been pulled out of the box.
Gee, who could have done that?

We made a gingerbread house while daddy was putting in long hours studying for finals.

Helping assemble the roof.

The instructions said to wait 15 minutes for the icing to dry before putting any candy on it.

So we had a snack.

And we drooled over the sprinkles.
(Zoom in on the picture and you can see her little tongue is sticking out in concentration.)

Who actually waits 15 whole minutes anyways, right?
We made it about 3 minutes and started decorating.

There would have been more decorations, except two little girls kept eating them.
See Lexi in the background and Kara handing me her cup for more?

After eating all that candy we had a sugar rush and had to run in circles.

Seriously, who's cute kid is this anyway??

More pictures coming soon.

Thanksgiving

 Wearing their festive sweaters.
(Kudos to Daddy for fixing their hair!!)

 Coloring with daddy.

Kara drew the turkey on her sweater.

Can you tell it's a turkey?

We watched football and played cards.

Then we played dominos.  (Kara calls them dom-me-nos.)

Then we made houses out of the dominos.

We didn't go shopping the day after thanksgiving.
Instead we played "Shadrach, Meshadrach, and Abennago in the fire."
