New Pictures From October

The girls LOVE looking out window in the morning and telling me what the weather is.
We made some cookies to get ready for Grandpa and Ya-Ya's visit.

And of course, you have to enjoy some cookies on a bright sunshiny day.
Daddy's first day of work at his new job was 10/19/12.
I think he's really going to like it.
Grandpa and YaYa got the girls some new juice mugs!

They also took us to the zoo.

The excitement of the zoo wore. her. out.
Chocolate milk in the coolest cups ever.
We also went to the park with Grandpa and YaYa.
Normally there are ducks and geese at this park that we feed.
This time... there was only turtles.  Laying on a rock.
They didn't eat our bread, but we fed them anyway.
With the grandparents.
This morning's Bible Story was about the 10 lepers.
Afterward Kara made Lexi be a leper.

I'm not sure if the Seminary would appreciate me drawing on their ceiling, but if we ever own a house again  I'm Totally Doing This.

We've been thinking of getting some bunk beds for the girls.
We just haven't found exactly what we want yet.

Yet...
Now, we just have to figure out how we can make this work!?!

I was just messing around with different ways to edit pictures.

Here's the original to the one above.

This is just a picture that I found on the computer when I was sorting through old pictures.
Thought I'd go ahead and upload it too.
'Cause he's cute.

Finally made Lexi's dress

While my parent's were visiting, my mom helped me make a dress for Kara.
I finally got around to making Lexi's dress.
It's a lot harder to do without your mom sitting right next to you helping.

Reminder of what Kara's looks like.

Posing together.

Yesterday we woke up and found Kara's lip like this:

She got bit by a (spider?)
After 3 doses of medicine it went back to normal, but nothing like a quick trip to the doctor first thing in the morning to get your adrenaline going.

When the cats away, the mice will play

On Tuesdays nights I am taking the wives class here at the seminary, so Preston and the girls get lots of father/daughter time.
I wasn't here to experience it, but apparently the girls were being quite adorable in my absence last night.

Kara was saying, "I'm super-man-guy! I throw snow!"

Checking themselves out in the mirror.

Lexi was feeling extra sleepy and spent a good portion of her night snuggling with Daddy.

Her helmet kept sliding down on her head, so she found this knit cap to put on under her helmet so it wouldn't slide anymore.

She begs to do schoolwork.

That sweet little nose was one of the first things I noticed about her after she was born.

Watching her rock and sing to her "babies" are such sweet tender moments for me.

Heart melted.

We went on a walk this morning.
The girls are always picking flowers for Daddy.
Lexi says, "Daddy wuv em."

While we were on our walk we saw an opossum on campus.
Naturally I didn't have my camera with me so I took a picture on my phone to prove we saw it.
Lexi called it a monkey.
Then we came home and looked up as much info as we could about opossum's.
Kara's favorite fun fact is that they keep their babies in their "pockets."

After our walk, I decided today is a hot chocolate kind of day.
(Or if you are under the age of 5 it's a warm chocolate kind of day.)

Kara wanted to take my picture too.
So here's the first one.
Then she said, "No mom, not like that. Drink it like a princess."

Um....
