Picnic

We went on a picnic at the fish pond. The girls thought it was great!

Lexi's cheeks are deceptive. It was hot outside but her skin is so fair that even a little heat turns her red. I like their sweet smiles in this picture though.

She's in a stage of calling everything "dog." Even birds.

We got to see a turtle! Big excitment for an almost-3-year-old!

Kara tryed to feed the fish a cookie. See the remainder there on her chin? We had to teach her the rules about not feeding fish. Now she says, "Fish no eat cookie!"

We had a nice day. When we left Kara waved and said, "Night-night fish. Lay down. Take a rest." :) She is such a JOY!

Our first day of church in Texas.

Texas

The last picture we took of him before he went to his new home. :( Let's not talk about it.

Home Sweet Home

I get a few joyful tears in my eyes everytime I look at that beautiful dishwasher.

Cute kids eating breakfast.

Downstairs bathroom

Living room

The back(?) door. I'm still not sure which is the front door. People knock of both and we use both equally. Maybe we just have two front doors?

Yes, we bought a baby gate for Lexi. No, we probably didn't need to. She has put my fears to rest and can scale these things with toys in both hands, one in her mouth, one balanced on her head and one between her knees. Ok, that's a bit of an exageration but my monkey-child climbs up and down these very easily.

Upstairs potty room.

Girls room.

Our room. We've been told our house will eventually be full of bookshelves.... hmmm....

The playground is literally right out our back (front?) door. It goes without saying, the girls (yes, all 3 girls, me included) LOVE this!!

The train comes by about once an hour and we have to stop everything to run to the window to see it. Lexi says "choo choooo" now. :)

And we have to stand there and watch the whole train go by. It's a hard job, but somebody's got to do it.

Stairs and toddlers. Perfect. We should do well here. I'll probably lose a ton of weight from running laundry and toys upstairs all the time. Great.

Kara made chips and strawberries for "breffast."

Kara knows her birthday is coming up. Anytime we ask her what she wants for her birthday she says "chocolate." (Girl after my own heart right there!) So, we bought some special chocolate cupcake mix, that I thought I hid pretty well but she found it. Now she asks us every single day if it's her birthday yet. So, long story short, we made cookies the other day to buy us some time until her birthday and we can make the chocolate cupcakes.

Cookie dough on her face.

Eating every last speck of cookie dough.

In case you don't know, let me be the first to tell you.... it's HOT in Texas. But popsicles make it a little better.

This is from about a week before we moved. Kara's face lit up like she won the lottery when she got to hold the baby bunnies. :)
