I tried to block the computer by putting that tote and the rocking chair in front of it. I didn't think she'd be brave enough to climb on the tote! Time for a new strategy..

Kara absolutely loves to read. We've read some of her books so many times that I now have them memorized. She can bring a book to me while I'm cooking or washing dishes, sit down next to me and turn the pages while I QUOTE THE BOOK FROM MEMORY!!

We had potatoes for dinner a few nights ago. She saw me getting out the potatoes and decided that this is a fun new thing to do. So, I decided I would encourage her desire to help and I let her bring me the potatoes while I peeled them. She now randomly brings me potatoes anytime throughout the day. I've come out of the bathroom to find a growing stack of potatoes.

We have two Burning Bushes planted outside of our house. For about a week each year they change to the most amazing color of red. Unfortunately, most people miss out on seeing them unless they just happen to visit during that one week. So, here is Kara showing off the Burning Bush.
It has already snowed twice this year. I couldn't resist taking Kara out and playing in the snow.

There's two reasons that she has a pacifier in these pictures. (She doesn't normally use a pacifier.) 1- she was teething and was constantly gnawing on anything she could get in her mouth. 2- that was the only way I could keep her from pulling off her hat and gloves.
