These verses have been on my heart lately and I just wanted to share them:
Psalm 103:1-5
Psalm 103:1-5
1 Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Kara got a new vest that she insisted on wearing the very next day.
It has a small dog on it which is why she LOVES it.

Lexi got a new dress too.
The light isn't very good in the picture but the pale pink dress

with her blond hair and blue eyes is adorable!
Dancing with Daddy.
One of my friends has a pet rabbit named Sweetie. Sometimes they let Sweetie outside to eat the dandelions. Now, every time Kara sees yellow flowers she picks them and saves them for Sweetie.
Look what we found on the sidewalk by the chapel.
Mom was spring cleaning (Is it still called "spring" when it's 90 outside?) while the girls were.... uh.... also cleaning.
They put on their slippers, held hands, and walked back and forth through the living room and kitchen.
"If we do something incredibly cute we might get out of cleaning up that massive pile of toys behind us!"

After we moved here both girls were sharing one bed, but because Kara is so tall she kept taking over Lexi's space. So, we set up Lexi's bed and let them each have their own beds.
Here is what ended up happening on the first night of two beds.
Working puzzles together.
Bless her little heart, Lexi can barely reach.

Preston took an I-Term, which is a summer class for one week M-F from 8-5 with homework every night. So, while Daddy was otherwise detained, us girls found lots of things to do to keep ourselves busy. One of the things we did was venture over to the play-place at the mall.
Our mall also has turtle fountains.
I probably don't need to tell you that our turtle-loving-Lexi thoroughly enjoyed this!

One of our neighbors gave us some homeschool books and curriculum. She also gave us some "easy-reader" books that our Kara has already had me read to her about 1,000 times.
Lexi still mainly reads the Elmo book.
I know I've said this before, but in case you forgot: the name Alexa means helper.
She is living up to her name.
She is living up to her name.
While I was (husking? shucking? peeling? We just moved from Nebraska I should know this!) the corn Lexi sat next to me and did an entire ear all by herself.
Then she set the table all by herself.
She is such a sweet blessing to us.
Here is another sweet blessing in our lives.
(This is probably my new favorite picture of her. She is looking less like a toddler and more like a pretty little girl.)
They take any chance they can get to sit on Daddy's motorcycle!
Our little trend-setter on pick out your own clothes day.
She is so cute in these sunglasses.
Family movie night.
Mothers Day
After we got done taking the above pictures Kara wanted to take mommy and daddy's pictures.
(We've already bought her a kids digital camera for her birthday but I don't know if I'll be able to wait until August to give it to her. She is always wanting to take pictures!)
After Lexi saw Kara take the above pictures she wanted to take a picture too.
Playing doll house together.
She loves working on preschool.
We go for walks around campus almost every single day.
"No, this is not uncomfortable,
this is exactly how I meant to wear it."
